Product Description

You will get upreme quality Leaf Wetness Air Temperature RH Recorder at Kaizen Imperial. The system consists of a weatherproof enclosure which contains the data logger and power supply, and comes complete with a solar panel, tripod stand and Leaf Wetness, Air Temperature & Humidity sensors. For the most accurate disease prediction the leaf wetness sensor is designed to mimic the surface area of a leaf, use electrical resistance to measure the level of surface moisture on foliage, whether caused by rainfall, dew, or spray. The leaf wetness sensor enables the data logger to detect the presence of surface moisture on foliage and calculate the duration of wetness. Leaf Wetness Air Temperature RH Recorder is also used for determining the moisture content that is present in the soil.

Advanced Sensor Technology for Precise Monitoring

This recorder combines a capacitive/resistive hybrid leaf wetness sensor with high-accuracy temperature (0.3C) and RH (2%) sensors. The result is rapid and precise detection, making it suitable for applications where reliable environmental data is criticalfor instance, forecasting crop diseases or tracking microclimate conditions in research and farming.

User-Friendly Features and Flexible Data Handling

With a programmable sampling interval (1 minute to 2 hours), RTC clock with battery backup, and field-upgradable firmware via USB, the device is built for convenience and flexibility. Data logging is controlled manually, and CSV downloads are compatible with common PC software, streamlining data management and analysis for users in diverse field settings.

Rugged Design for Demanding Outdoor Use

Engineered for durability, the unit features IP65 weatherproofing and operates efficiently under harsh environmental conditions. The mounting bracket accommodates pole or wall installation up to 2 meters in height, ideal for long-term outdoor monitoring in agriculture, horticulture, and weather station deployments.

FAQs of Leaf Wetness, Air Temperature & RH Recorder:

Q: How does the device measure leaf wetness, temperature, and humidity outdoors?

A: The device uses a capacitive/resistive hybrid sensor for leaf wetness, along with integrated sensors for air temperature and relative humidity. Its weatherproof construction and pole/wall mounting capability allow accurate measurements in various outdoor environments, whether in research plots, greenhouses, or open fields.

Q: What is the process for setting or changing the data logging interval?

A: Users can program the data logging interval between 1 minute and 2 hours using the devices setup interface. Simply connect to the device via the provided controls or compatible software and select your preferred sampling frequency according to monitoring needs.

Q: Where can the recorder be installed, and does it withstand harsh weather?

A: The recorder is designed for outdoor use and complies with IP65 standards, ensuring protection from dust and water. It can be pole- or wall-mounted up to 2 meters high, making it ideal for greenhouses, weather stations, and open agricultural fields in all weather conditions.

Q: How can I download and access the recorded environmental data?

A: Data is logged and stored internally, with a capacity of up to 16,000 readings (expandable). You can transfer data to a PC via Micro USB, and files are saved in CSV format. The data is compatible with most standard spreadsheet and analysis software.

Q: What benefits does programmable alarm functionality offer?

A: With programmable thresholds, the recorders alarm function enables users to receive alerts when measured parameters exceed set values. This is beneficial for timely interventions in crop management, disease prevention, environmental compliance, and research monitoring.

Q: When is it necessary to upgrade the recorders firmware, and how is it done?

A: Firmware upgrades are recommended when new features or bug fixes are released. Upgrading can be performed easily in the field via a USB connection, ensuring your device remains up to date and fully functional without needing to return it to the manufacturer.
